From the English Garden

"Tucked away in the heart of the Northumbrian countryside, Flora Cottage is a lovely example of a late Georgian worker's cottage. Originally belonging to the Horticulturist from the nearby Manor, the cottage is surrounded by unusually generous gardens, overflowing with English Oak, pale primrose beds, and in the spring, an abundance of sweet daffodils.

Drawing inspiration from the gardens that surround the house, we carefully reimagined the architecture and interior of the property, reinstating period details and filling each room with antiques. Soft shades of cream, butter yellow and chameau green drift from room to room, and delicate patterns echo those found beyond the window. It is a peaceful family home, full of charm and warmth. Our clients were delighted.

Though much of it's original character had been lost over time, Flora Cottage offered the most wonderful foundation for restoration.
