"Nestled within the beautiful, historic village of Warkworth, overlooking the winding river Coquet and the famous Northumbrian coastline beyond, Apperley is every bit a coastal retreat.
While rich in character, the cottage no longer suited family life. We reimagined the entire layout of the original property, and completed a juxtaposing, modern extension to the rear, creating generous spaces for gathering, entertaining and welcoming a steady stream of family and friends. The result is a home that retains all the charm of the original cottage, whilst embracing the easy rhythm of modern coastal living.
Drawn from the ever changing colours of the North Sea, a palette of soft, ocean teal, weathered stone, driftwood and wave - like ivory, flows throughout the property. We curated a mix of coastal antiques and new pieces, creating a home that feels peaceful, and at one with the beaches beyond its windows.
